Report of the Event
The NSS Unit V organized an extension activity to commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Day on 28th May 2025 at the Primary Health Centre, Kotekar from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from I Year M.Sc. Nursing students, guided by Mrs. Navya, Assistant Professor & NSS Programme Officer, and Mrs. Amitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing.
As part of the program, students delivered an informative health talk on menstrual hygiene and care, emphasizing the importance of maintaining proper hygiene during menstruation. The session also included a demonstration of various sanitary products such as sanitary pads and menstrual cups, using appropriate audio-visual aids to enhance understanding.
Towards the end of the event, refreshments were distributed to all Anganwadi teachers and health workers in attendance. The session concluded with positive feedback from the audience, reflecting the success and impact of the program.
