Nursing Foundation
The Department of Nursing foundation is an integral part in the development of Basic nursing skill sets. It paves the way for entry of the novice nurse to develop the desirable knowledge, attitude and skills which forms the crux of nursing practice. The student nurses are moulded in the realms of physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual development. All efforts are enthrallment on assuring that the student metamorphoses from a “bud to blossom.”
This subject is an initial core in the nursing curriculum to train the nurses. The Nursing foundation subject is taught to the first year GNM, B.Sc. and P.B.B.Sc Nursing. Nursing foundation department also deals with advanced clinical practice of PG program. Move over frequent individual and group counselling is conducted continuously to achieve the goals. It has adequate infrastructure to facilitate teaching-learning and research activities. A laboratory is established and equipped with mannequins and advance laboratory articles and also collaborated with simulation centre for simulation and advance nursing procedure demonstration to provide nursing students with the necessary skills and attitudes based on theoretical knowledge to demonstrate the basic nursing care procedures for patient’s care.
