The Department of Mental Health Nursing observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with two impactful events.
As part of the observance, a poster competition on the theme "Breaking the Chain of Addiction" was held on 16th November 2024 at Yenepoya Nursing College, Naringana, Kinya. The competition provided a platform for students to creatively express their ideas on combating addiction.
On 19th November 2024, an awareness program was organized at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose School, Deralakatte. The highlight of the event was a guest talk by Dr. Rajesh Mittur, who spoke on the topic "The evidence is clear: invest in prevention," emphasizing the importance of proactive measures in combating drug abuse. The program began with a warm welcome address by Mrs. Jyothi, and the session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Rakshith.
