Brief Report of the Event:

The World Day Against Child Labour 2025 was observed on 12.06.2025 from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM by the Department of Child Health Nursing, Yenepoya Nursing College, in collaboration with the District Child Labour Association, District Administration, Zilla Panchayath, Mangaluru City Corporation, Labour Department, District Child Labour Planning Association, Department of Police, Advocate/Bar Association of Mangaluru, Women and Child Development Department, and other related departments of Dakshina Kannada.

Faculty members from the Child Health Nursing Department and II Year GNM students of Yenepoya Nursing College actively participated in the Jatha procession, reel competition, official program, and skit.

The event began with a Jatha from Jyothi Circle to Town Hall, Mangaluru, where students displayed placards with slogans against child labour. This was followed by a formal program based on the theme "Progress is clear, but there's more to do: Let's speed up efforts, End Child Labour". Skits and a mime show further highlighted the theme.

Faculty, students, and members of various collaborating departments participated in and benefitted from the awareness session on child labour. The session aimed to educate attendees on identifying and addressing child labour cases appropriately.

From Yenepoya Nursing College, 23 II Year GNM students and 4 faculty members participated in the event.
